My first Mother's Day!

I love being a Mom! Mother's Day was very nice! We got some beautiful roses at church and then we had some yummy BBQ thanks to Tyler's awesome grillin' skills! Ty and Britain got me tickets to the Kansas City Starlight Theatre which is an outdoor Broadway theatre. He gave me 4 shows to chose from and I haven't decided yet. He sure knows what will put a smile on my face!
Thanks also to my mom who is the best mom in the whole world! She has done so much and continues to do even more for our family! I admire her in so many ways and especially want to thank her for taking such good care of my dear grandma(her mother) who passed away last July. This was my mom's first Mother's Day without her mother here on earth, but what a legacy she has left!
I've read the talk by Elder Ballard entitled, "Daughters of God" several times since conference. It is such a wonderful talk and has helped me so much to realize my role as a mother and also Tyler's role as a supportive husband. If you copy and paste this link, you will be able to read it!

Above: We love nice weather and BBQ's! This isn't the most flattering picture of either of us, but just don't zoom in and it'll all be okay!

Above: Me and Britain with my Mother's Day roses! I told Britain to smell the flowers....so here he is smelling the flowers!

Brooke, I'm glad you found our blog so we can keep in touch! I didn't realize that you didn't know Tyler in high school . . .I went to Elementary with him! Britain is adorable and it looks like he keeps you busy! Keep in touch!

Brooke,

Happy belated birthday, and happy Mothers Day! It looks like you are enjoying your new home and life more and more each day, but we sure do miss you in Salt Lake (and at the University!).

You are looking GORGEOUS girl, but too skinny, are you sure you're eating? You're setting the bar high for me to lose my pregnancy weight!

Hope to see you this summer!

Kristin

Hi Brooke!
How funny you left me a comment because I found your blog last night too! I do remember you from high school, we were in choir together. I was always in awe of how your hair would be straight one day and curly the next and it always looked so good.

You're a cute mom! I love the pics! BBQ looks yummy.:) So...what did you do to look so skinny after having a baby? You look really good. (I'm wondering if my stomach will ever be the same after this baby is born.)
