I feel like I need to write about a little experience that happened that really increased my faith. Tyler has had problems with his eyes, his corneas are shaped differently so even with contacts, he can't see very well. I never realized how much he couldn't see until his doctor finally suggested hard contacts. When Ty put them in his whole world was so much clearer...the way they fit made his vision much more clear. I could tell he was really excited and he was pointing out several things that he hadn't even noticed before! (The only downside is now Ty could see me even clearer when I didn't have any makeup on...darn it:) I was so happy that he felt good about it because he's been to the eye doctor so many times. Anyway, he only got one pair of contacts because these are really expensive. Of course they need some getting used to, but Ty has handled that quite well. He went to his night class and he called me on his break. It was the windiest day we've had in a long time, but it was also warm so he went outside to talk to me. As we were talking, I heard him say, "Oh no! My contact just popped out of my eye! I have to go!" and he hung up! Immediately I felt sick because I knew that he could never find it outside in the dark with the wind blowing like crazy. I immediately said a prayer and prayed hard that somehow Ty could find his contact and finish his test review and be able to see to drive home. Ty has been working and studying so hard lately that I just knew he could be blessed with this miracle. I didn't hear back from him, but continued to pray that everything was okay. He called an hour later and said he was on his way home....as soon as his contact fell out he bent to the ground, looked around and somehow saw it just laying there! Even he agreed that he thought he'd never have a chance of finding that tiny little contact...he was sure it blew away.
He was able to rinse it, put it back in and go on with his night. I immediately had to thank my Heavenly Father for blessing us.
I know it was just a contact(an expensive one) but I'm amazed how Heavenly Father continues to teach us in little ways, it was a wonderful reminder of a story I can tell my children that relates to every day life. You can always pray and Heavenly Father will answer, nothing is too small for him to answer you and teach you in the process.

That is a neat story, thanks for sharing!
That is really sweet. Isn't it great to know that even small things He cares about too? Thanks for sharing.
Brooke,
What a wonderful story, that totally made my day! I have worn contacts for more than 15 years, and I know how IMPOSSIBLE it is to find them indoors, let alone out of doors (on a windy evening), so I appreciate how big a miracle this truly is.
You deserve it, and I know Tyler does also!
Happy Valentines Day!
Kristin
