"Too many presents!" was Britain's exclamation when looking under the tree Christmas morning. Not that we had a lot of presents, but considering we can't keep ANYTHING under the tree before Christmas or someone will peek...I guess it did look like a lot on Christmas morning! Christmas this year was again spent with just our little family, which ended up being very nice! Britain was really into everything this year which made it a lot of fun! He loves reindeer and singing "Jingle Bells!" He thinks he's really funny and a lot of times he'll substitute the word "milk" in songs (He LOVES LOVES LOVES milk!), so it ended up being "Jingle Milk" for most of the time and "Rudolph the Red-nose Milk!", but at least he gets a kick out of himself! At night we sing primary songs before bed and a lot of times it's "I love to see the Milk!" instead of "temple"...he'll start laughing and I have to try and compose myself and tell him that we need to sing those songs nicely, but I die laughing inside!
Anyway, back to Christmas! He woke up and saw the plates empty and jumped up and down! He came downstairs and was in awe...I love that Christmas is becoming magical to him! We opened presents, but I thought it was so cute how he made sure that Braden got a present every time he did....he would even help him open it. He's the SWEETEST older brother and I hope it stays this way even when Braden is old enough to snatch his toys....we'll see how he acts then!
Ty is the cutest daddy and sweetest husband...he loved getting things ready for Britain and was so excited to see Britain enjoying himself so much! We agreed that we wouldn't get presents for each other this year, but he surprised me with a trip to the Ellen DeGeneres show with my mom in the Spring!! I'm so excited...let's hope our tax return is kind to us so I can go! I sure love my little family and am grateful for the precious time we've had to spend together. We miss our families, but consider ourselves so blessed to have each other and enjoyed just playing and hanging out
Me shoveling...my present to Ty for Christmas...nothing like the gift of service and love right?
