Here we are at Carthage Jail. It was amazing to see that they still had the original floors and bullet holes in the doors. We sat in the room where Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were killed by a mob of over 100 people. It was such a bittersweet feeling sitting in there. I thought of how sad that time was. It was so weird to sit there and think what happened in that same spot, and yet the Spirit was there testifying of the beautiful majesty of the Restoration and truthfulness of what they died for. I'm so grateful we got to be there.

Here we are standing below the window that Joseph Smith fell out of when he was shot.

Brooke! Looks like such an amazing trip! I'm glad you were able to go. And how fun that Brady came to! I think after hearing about your experience, we'll have to make our way out there sometime soon.

That brought back a lot of memories of our journey to PA and our stay in Nauvoo...doesn't that seem so long ago!? Thanks for the good reminder of such a great memory, glad you had a nice time with you're cute little family!
