You! You! You! You!

So, the title of this post is dying to be explained! Well Ty called me up yesterday and said that he got tickets from work to go to the Kansas City Chiefs game! This is like his dream and we never thought we'd go to an NFL game in our lives so even though there was a 70% chance of thunderstorms, we weren't going to let that stop us!

We have wonderful friends, the Newmans, who were willing to watch Britain at the last second...thank you so much!!!! We dropped him off and then as we were driving towards the stadium, the clouds got bigger and blacker! Yep, it started raining...no not raining, POURING! Luckily I brought trusty $.89 ponchos from Walmart...I'm awesome! I've never loved plastic so much in my life! Just from the parking lot to the stadium pretty much soaked us! There were people everywhere and we soon realized that we should've worn red because every other single person was!

We soon realized that we had INCREDIBLE seats also! We thought we'd be in the nosebleeds, but we were on the 20th row...from the field! These pictures just don't do justice to the whole feel of it, but they were close! The rain would stop for a bit, then come back and pour and off and on.....It was really fun!

Ty is so patient with me because I'm trying so hard to be cool and know what's going on, but just when I think I know where the ball is, they all tackle someone else! That ball is SO hard to keep track off! Ty filled me in on some stuff, but I really am getting better with my football knowledge! The Chiefs had two awesome touchdowns right off the bat and it was on our side!!!

Here's the reason I put the title: After each touchdown, the whole stadium would stand and say some little chant and end by pointing to the other team and saying..."you, you....you, you, you, you!" It was so funny to see everyone doing this! Finally Ty told me they were saying, "We're gonna beat the He-- out of you, you,...you, you, you, you!" Let's just say I only joined in the end part!

It gets better! So, lots of people are eating different kinds of food, but what really caught my eye was the nachos!!! YUM! I fought a hard fight between my brain saying no and my stomach saying yes! I finally gave in to my stomach and said, "Heck, I'm at an NFL game and I'm eating nachos!" I left Ty to finish the half and I ran to get nachos really quick...really quick my foot!
It was a long, slow moving line! I stood there and could feel someone ahead staring at me, but didn't want to make eye contact...ya know...that's awkward. All of the sudden this dude leaves his position towards the front of the line to come talk to me at the back! He told me that I looked familiar...uh huh...and then told me I was so "beautiful" and asked me if I was married...duh...I had my ring on! I told him yes and then he told me how lucky my husband was to have me. Yeah, I had to agree with that one:) Then he asked me where I was from and I said, "Utah." Then he asked if I was a Mormon which I said, "Yes" and then he asked what my occupation was and I said, "I'm a full-time mother of a darling little 1 year old boy." He pretty much could tell he wasn't getting anywhere. He left the line and told me that I'm a "beautiful woman and should be proud of it!" Well okay!
It was fun telling Ty that I got hit on!

We had a great night and we'll never forget it! Here's a few pics!

Your game sounds awesome...I have had to learn the football lingo as well and now I really enjoy watching it.. of course in person is so much better. We are hoping to catch a TCU game in Dallas this fall.
Britain is honestly one of the cutest kids I have ever seen. I MUST see him in person!!! Are you coming home for Christmas?

This is one of brians dreams to go to an nfl football game! I am just like you, I bug brian when I watch football with him because I really don't know what the heck is going on! I just know,if everyone is cheering then it is something good, if everyone is swearing it is something bad!
