Tyler had to travel for almost the whole month of January so I took my two boys to Utah to hang out with family! It was a fun month and went by fast! My boys LOVE the airport and airplane, especially Brit! It's just all so exciting to him that he can hardly stand it! Well we got to the airport only to find out that our flight had just been delayed by an hour so we did what any ice cream lover would do...bought ice cream! It was only $10.00 for a single cone (sense the sarcasm?) but well worth it! These boys sat and ate their ice cream then had fun running around before we FINALLY boarded! Brit loves sitting by the window and commenting on everything he sees...Braden loves flirting and trying to get everyone's attention on board! We had a good flight considering I was sick to my stomach all day with worry!
Of course I lost my camera so I didn't get a lot of pics while in Utah...typical me. I lose it everytime I go! Here are just a few, but we had a lot of fun hanging out and seeing friends and family! Brit loved playing in the snow with Uncle Ben and they spent many a nights hanging out with Grammy Debbie and Grandpa Paul at their house watching "Peter and the Wolf!"
While I was there we did family night every Monday. My parents have always done a great job having it every week and making it a very important part of the week even with all older kids. It was really fun to participate and prepare a lesson one week. Below are pics of the week that we had my grandparents over for family night and my grandpa talked about when he was in World War II and the adventures he had on the sea and in a hurricane! It was fascinating to hear the stories and see the pictures! My boys also performed musical numbers singing "Nephi's Courage" and "I am a Child of God", pretty funny! I LOVE familiy nights! We even got to do one with the Bredthauers too where Britain and Lucy bore their testimonies and helped Tyler with the lesson, good times!
While we were there, we did plenty of messing up the house so I was always trying to help clean and it rubbed off on the boys! Brit would help vacuum!
He did NOT get this black eye from vacuuming, he actually was having a lot of fun playing with cousin Lucy and running around that they rounded a corner and smacked right into each other. Poor little kids! His eye went from goose egg to bad to worse to this! He thought it was pretty cool and only cried for a minute...tough boy!
And here's Mr. Braden helping sweep...his favorite thing in the world! I love how every time he sees the camera he stops what he's doing and says, "CHEESE!" Hence the reason for this goofy face!
I so wish I had more pics but I am so grateful for all the people who put up with us, we LOVE seeing everyone and miss them so much! It's good to be back as a family and in our home now!
