Mommy's getaway!

So, this past weekend I was able to fly to Utah by MYSELF to just get away and see my darling little sissy in a play and also throw my almost sissy in law a bridal shower! It was a total blast and went by very very fast!
I got there Thursday afternoon and went that night to see the play, The Scarlet Pimpernel, put on by Viewmont highschool! What a fun fun time! The play was incredible and the talent was amazing....I have such a deep love and soft spot for Viewmont and my time spent there, I have wonderful memories and it's sad to see Miss McGuire in her last year at Viewmont, she's put on quite the production!
Here's us girlies at the play, I was lucky enough to sit by my cute cousin Katie (she's due 3 weeks after me!), her hubby Alan, and my cute Grandpa Christensen!

Then Friday was filled with relaxing and enjoying preparing for the shower by getting decorations, making cake pops with Britt and her friends, getting prizes, etc....Saturday morning was the shower and I thought it turned out way cute! Here are a few shots of the decorations! It was a movie theme so everyone had to base their gift on a movie!

Here's us girls with Cassidee! She is so darn cute and we are so excited to have her in the family! We had a great turnout and I'm so glad I could be a part of it since I felt like living out of state I miss out on so many of these fun events!

Boy I love these girls!

Saturday night was closing night of the play and I'm so glad I went again with my family. It was a blast to watch it again and I had so many good laughs, but also very emotional. I saw Tawni crying as she realized that everything was coming to an end and it took me back to that time of my life where you knew everything would soon change with graduation coming...she was so darn cute and I'm SO glad I could see her perform!

I must thank my wonderful husband who stayed home with my boys and took care of everything! The house was spotlessly clean when I came home and when they picked me up at the airport I was handed a dozen roses from my boys! I sure love them and am grateful they let me get away for a few days! I secretly think they had a total blast playing with dad and wish I'd take a hike more often!!! Thanks Ty, it's so nice to be able to completely trust our boys in your care! Love you all!
